Max's Monster Bash

So we have decided to do a monster bash for Max's b'day this year. Partially because hes such a terror with his almost 4 year old attitude haha and also because max wanted a monster party. I know it's still a few weeks away but I wanted to be organized, with uni taking up sooo much of my time I have to do dribs and drabs! I have taken a few photos while he was sleeping of the concept and ideas of his party but it's all packed away again for him when his b'day arrives :)

We are having a craft center for chalk drawing, colour in sheets with crayons and build a monster plasticine kit, it's going to be fun!

We also have a monster house photo booth. There will be two monsters.

This is a little preview.

I haven't finished the blue monster but you get the idea.
Excuse the crappy photo's like I said it was dark lol

Happy B'day Jess!!

Ok so I was having a moment and was feeling a little useless last time I blogged but I couldn't be better! I have a wonderful family and friends who support me and uni well it's crazy and challenging but it's great to. It's only going to be a quick one as I really need to start walking out the door but thought I'd leave with some photos from over the weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESS!!! I hope you had a fabulous day, I had an amazing time with amazing people!! Long live wonderful memories :)

It was an awesome St Patrick's day theme birthday :)
On the amazing people note, I'm not even sure if I've blogged but Nicole, Cory, Jess and Jarrod are now coming to my wedding and I'm soo excited not long now!! I miss Clare bear terribly too :( can't wait to be sun baking with them all in just over 6 weeks :)

For Jess's b'day present we organised flights for her to no where else but QLD, she really wanted to be there for us at the wedding and it was the only thing that I could think of as she's the girl that wants nothing and has everything hehehe :) so this was perfect and I was happy, she absolutely loved it :)

I printed up her itinerary and popped it in an envelope. I then designed a boarding pass style card/message and attached it to the front of the envelope, it looked great.

Just a grape on the vine

They always tell you to listen to your parents, I guess my mum was right. I have a failed marriage before I even walk down the aisle, any hope for a future career I've failed, most of all I've failed my kids. I always start something but never finish it, I guess this is the story of my life, it's meant to be like this, it's always what I've been told. I don't think I'm destined for great things, I'm one of these people that skim through life, nothing horrible or nothing great just another grape on the vine.

A bit of a nughty one

Ok so this is a bit of a naughty one!! My friend Nicole is having a 'Go With The Flow' party which is basically adult sex toys and so forth, its surprisingly a lot of fun and a great laugh. We made some naughty nibbles today which included some boobies cupcakes and also we tried something a little different as well which were cake push pops. I already had the containers which I have yet to try out so this was a bit exciting to :) Nicole put layers of cake and icing then on top she has molded a penis head out of fondant. I printed up some stickers and put them across the front, it's pretty funny and meant to be a little naughty hahaha!I then just covered a tissue box with paper and added some stickers to say enjoy me!

The good thing about push pops is you can do soo many different things with them. They have become a huge thing in the US and the trend is spreading nation wide :)

These are a little more on the experienced side but another example below.. pretty cute!

Hope you enjoyed a little naughty blog

Wedding Guest Wishes

Well of course another quirky wedding diy I am doing.. To compliment our love story save the dates and wedding invitation we have decided to do Mad Libs for our guest wishes. Instead of having your traditional guest book or wishing well I have created these cards with a Mad Lib on the inside, our names and wedding date on the front and an additional comments on one of the flaps (once folded). They are a bit quirky and fun for our guests, I think they came out really cute and def a nice keepsake :)
I thought it may even be nice to tie a little starfish to each but it will depend on our guests.
Excuse the crap photo taking, this silly house of mine has horrible natural lighting positions.
Looking forward to when we move :)

Valentines Day

So Monday is Valentines Day, we aren't overly keen on gift giving and everything on Valentines Day, we like to think we express our love on more than one day a year lol but this year thought to do something sweet, inexpensive and of course a little craft activity for me. I'll go through it from the start.

I purchased Hershey Kisses from eBay as they are quite hard to find here in Australia in large quantities, they are an amarican chocolate. You can also find smaller packet in old English lolly shops sometimes. I bought adhesive paper from officeworks and a 3/4" punch from my local scrapbooking/craft shop. For the design I went on etsy.com and typed in printable hershey stickers and picked my favourite ones :) or you can get some freebie designs HERE or HERE

I printed the design onto the adhesive paper and punched out the circles using my 3/4" punch.
Then as simple as peeling and sticking them to the bottom of the Hersheys Kisses, they turned out very cute :)

To display them I plan on putting them in a jar and tying some ribbon around it and with the adhesive paper make a sticker to stick on the jar to say "A whole lot of Kisses for you on Valentines Day" pretty cute, I'm such a suck!!  You can display them any way you would like, in jars or wrappers or in a dish there's a million different ways to do them.

You can do these for just about anything; baby showers, christenings, birthdays, mothers and fathers day, Easter, Christmas, weddings. Speaking of weddings while I was Hershey sticking like crazy I decided to make some funky ones for our wedding for our guests.

Anyways I just wanted to share with you a huge trend in the US and hopefully see it spreading her down under.
