Our Nest

Ben & I have always referred to our home as "the nest" & I love it and think it is perfect. 

So this inspired my next little present for Ben :) I have told Ben to stay off the blog until our official anniversary coming up as I have finally taken photos of his present and I just HAVE to share!! Unfortunately he wont be home for our anniversary so I'm "sending love from the nest"

Its a personalized egg that contains a little message on the inside. You have to crack the egg open to get the note.. It's sooo adorable & appropriate. I've had it hidden for a while but I wanted to take pics and add a gift tag to the box before Ben comes back home, our anniversary is during the next time he's away so I will put it in a boring box and pop it in his luggage and he can open it on the day of our anniversary. I'm so excited and can't wait to give it to him :) I'm such a quirky gift giver hehehe!

I purchased this from LittleOkins on Etsy and it arrived safe and in record time :) she has so many other wonderful designs and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I have a few friends having babies soon so I will be heading back for more :)

Time has come & gone

So Ben left this morning :( Today is the anniversary of when we had our first official date! We both feel this is a very important day and like to always remember the start. So many fabulous memories & moments have come all from that first day! I decided to get something a little quirky for my coffee loving husband. I put together some typography and had it printed onto a magic mug! when Ben first opened it to reveal a plain black mug he was a little lost and knew there was more to it. I told him he needed to put his morning coffee into it to see the secret message! He quickly rushed to turn on the coffee machine! He loved it and I thought it was just something cute and quirky perfect for the occasion :) 

The secret message;

While we are talking about present giving. If the mug wasn't enough I decided to put together a little care package which I often do for the day Ben leaves but he can't open it until I'm not around. This time I put together a tin of heart shaped mints with a little message on the inside saying " Making sure you're well stocked on your travels, like a good wife is MINT to. ❤ Fiona xoxo" 

Ben has trouble with his ears so he eats mints when the plane starts landing so they don't give him grief, another appropriate pressie :)

Baby No.3

Ahhhhh so yesterday I was due for my monthly and no sign! It runs like clockwork each month so I decided to take a test even though I wasn't technically late yet hahaha. Everyone was talking about how I could be pregnant with a honeymoon baby even though I wasn't late for my period but it had me paranoid so anyway so be it... 

Ben wasn't home for the news but I rang him, work decided to keep him 5 extra days and I was waaaayyyy to impatient to wait to tell him hahaha! We are both thrilled but still early days, so only a few selected people know and the family and rest of our friends will find out once we have an ultrasound picture :) 

Wedding Video

We just received our wedding video and it is so beautiful. Andre from Poetry in Motion has done such an exceptional job I can't believe how well it's come out :) No words can describe how happy we are! He has truly captured such a special moment and turned it into something we can cherish forever.

OUR SPECIAL DAY!!

Officially MRS MCGREGOR here :) Ok so the day was perfect everything was amazing, I really don't know what to say other then I have truly married the one I love :)

QLD Trip

Ok so it's been a while since I blogged, it has been a crazy chaotic time and I am trying to time manage everything as of late. Well the most exciting news of all is I AM NOW THE HAPPY MRS MCGREGOR!!! Ben and I finally tied the knot and I can tell you it was and is the most amazing thing! I am so happy in love and everything went well, it was just simply perfection :)

Before I get into a wedding blog with a sneak peek of some of the photo's from the day I thought I would do an over view blog of the QLD trip itself.

It was an amazing time with amazing people :) We shopped, we wined, we dined, went swimming, we jet skied, faris wheeled, mini golfed and so so much more. I wanted to share some pictures with you! It was so memorable and something I have all our friends to be thankful for :)

The kids had a ball staying with poppy, grandma and grandpa at the Ashmore family holiday park :) They went swimming, played in the park, visited the wildlife park and so much more while they were there :)

Benny!!

Ok so I really want Ben to come home! It's only 3 more sleeps but god it feels forever. Tomorrow I have to go into uni to defer until next year and then the kids have school on Tuesday which always seems to go quick then it's Wednesday and I get to see Benny!! I have a dress fitting and a doctors appointment in Melbourne also a well deserved catch up with Clare bear and then I can get Ben from the Airport on the way home :) 

Ahhh it's taking to long!! Hurry up time!!!

Valentines Day

So Monday is Valentines Day, we aren't overly keen on gift giving and everything on Valentines Day, we like to think we express our love on more than one day a year lol but this year thought to do something sweet, inexpensive and of course a little craft activity for me. I'll go through it from the start.

 I purchased Hershey Kisses from eBay as they are quite hard to find here in Australia in large quantities, they are an amarican chocolate. You can also find smaller packet in old English lolly shops sometimes. I bought adhesive paper from officeworks and a 3/4" punch from my local scrapbooking/craft shop. For the design I went on etsy.com and typed in printable hershey stickers and picked my favourite ones :) or you can get some freebie designs HERE or HERE

I printed the design onto the adhesive paper and punched out the circles using my 3/4" punch.

Then as simple as peeling and sticking them to the bottom of the Hersheys Kisses, they turned out very cute :)

To display them I plan on putting them in a jar and tying some ribbon around it and with the adhesive paper make a sticker to stick on the jar to say "A whole lot of Kisses for you on Valentines Day" pretty cute, I'm such a suck!!  You can display them any way you would like, in jars or wrappers or in a dish there's a million different ways to do them.

 You can do these for just about anything; baby showers, christenings, birthdays, mothers and fathers day, Easter, Christmas, weddings. Speaking of weddings while I was Hershey sticking like crazy I decided to make some funky ones for our wedding for our guests.   

Anyways I just wanted to share with you a huge trend in the US and hopefully see it spreading her down under.
